According to the team of Korean researchers the more you talk on the cell phone the battery will last longer. The main reason for that is the introduction of tiny material (plates between the electrodes of the battery) which is used to convert the sound energy to the electrical energy, resulting the voltage which charges the battery at the same time as it is used. Although the voltage is very low(in milli-volts), but still there is a possibility for better results.
The authors of the new articles Young Jun Park and Sang-Woo Kim were quite confident to quote that "Just as speakers transform electric signals into sound, the opposite process of turning sound into a source of electrical power is possible," according to Discovery News sources.
The co-authors further added "Sound power can be used for various novel applications including mobile phones that can be charged during conversations and sound-insulating walls near highways that generate electricity from the sound of passing vehicles".
